Trends In IT

Guest post by Maximillian Goddard, participant in the current training

Years ago, technologies get updated in decades, then the update rate changed to every three (3) years, then it was yearly, currently the there is an update every month, for instance after windows experience (Windows xp), it took Microsoft eight (8) years before they were able to come up with something concrete like windows seven (windows 7).

Today, what is happening is that Microsoft, who took almost ten years to come up with windows 7, has now released windows 8 preview, which means with everything working fine it’s release would be soon.

Learning New Things

Just as technology keep on changing, that is how professionals in the IT industry needs to upgrade their knowledge. For me, Knowledge is the fuel used to drive the Technology engine, hence whilst knowledge is not updated, the engine of Technology runs out of fuel. Sometimes getting the right materials for this upgrade is not easy. With this training workshop, organised by institutions like mobile web Ghana, some of this upgrade has been made really easy.

Mobile web Ghana has really brought to my knowledge some existing technological knowhow that in the past I had just wondered about, but now it is rather talking with people with experience on those technologies.

Meeting People

Getting likeminded people to discuss the trend of technologies is not that easy to come by. At the Mobile Web Ghana training, I had the opportunity to interact with colleagues from different back grounds, making it easy to know what IT professionals in the industry (Ghana) are up to .

Understanding made so easy

With Hands on practical approach, understanding the technology being introduced made it very easy.

Ready to face challenges out there

As an IT Professional, I always meet challenges, but what is good about these challenges is having the knowhow to tackle those challenges. With knowledge on SMS and Voice applications, I can say that boldly say that I am ready for that world.
