A Day In Tech With Chief Supt. Issac Quist

After a successful year run of the monthly technology development seminar, A Day In Tech, we return in 2014 to increase our mission of growing technology in Africa.

A Day In Tech, Accra is technology development seminar organized once a month to bring together technology consumers, producers and experts, students, general public etc. to talk, learn and adopt the use of technology.

In March, 2014 we’re discussing the topic “The Role of Technology in Ghana Police Service”. Under this topic, we will discuss the journey of now rising technology industry and start-up ecosystem in Ghana; its challenges, relevance and how Ghanaians can achieve great heights in technology. We’ll spend the day with multiple award winning Ghanaian young technology entrepreneur, Edward Tagoe. As always, the event will have “Demo Time”, an open platform where developers showcase their products to the attendees to receive critical feedback. Under our third session, Learn Tech A Day with The Web Academy from Google Ghana, we’ll teach “Tools for Productivity on Google Drive and Google HangOuts”

A Day In Tech aims to build a critical mass of Ghana’s populace understanding, building and consuming the right technology for their everyday activities. We believe that if more Ghanaian consumers understand the technology they need to consume to enrich their lives, and are educated about technology on a mass scale, and then there will be an upsurge in interest in technology for young people, government, community thereby accelerating the growth of technology in Ghana which is good for entrepreneurs, investors and our society.
