FIRST STOP OF THE FLIPPY ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAIN – UPSA

Flippy campus is a social media app developed for students in tertiary institutions to connect and share information. The app has over 150,000 users. On Wednesday 22 February 2017 the flippy campus team began the first round of interviews with students of University of Professional Students, Accra as part of their Flippy Entrepreneur program.

The Flippy Entrepreneur is an initiative which aims at identifying and partnering with student entrepreneurs on the various campuses who have either started new projects, students who organise events or those who are building small businesses on campus. Through the Flippy Entrepreneur program, these student entrepreneurs will get access to the Flippy campus brand and open them up to a global network of tech enthusiasts, media personalities and students in other schools across Africa.

The students were taken through a series of interviews to find out whether they would be able to:

  • Take their own initiatives and transform with the Flippy Campus brand to transform their campuses
  • Interact with the top brands in the country using the Flippy Campus brand
  • Grow and promote the Flippy Campus brand on your Campus

The first part was the group interview. The applicants were divided into groups and given a task to do. The goal was to find how well these aspiring entrepreneurs could work in a team. This was followed by the one on one interview where the panellists assessed the applicants individually.
