Graduation Highlights from the American English Webinar Series

Educators play a critical role in shaping the future, and on November 20, 2024, the American Corner Agbogba proudly celebrated the achievements of teachers who successfully completed the American English Webinar Series. This six-part series, supported by the U.S. Embassy Ghana and Mobile Web Ghana , equipped teachers with innovative strategies for enhancing their teaching practices. The event was graced by Florence Toffa, Director of Mobile Web Ghana and American Corner Agbogba, who presented certificates to the participants, marking the culmination of their hard work and dedication.

The graduation ceremony was filled with excitement and pride as educators received their well-deserved certificates. The event also provided a platform for participants to share their impactful experiences, underscoring the program’s transformative influence on their teaching methods and student engagement.

During the program, educators explored topics such as listening comprehension, classroom assessment, and interactive learning strategies, fostering a dynamic and inclusive teaching environment. Among the remarkable participants was Nii Odoi, a visually impaired teacher from West African Senior High School. His participation highlighted the program’s inclusivity and the transformative power of technology in bridging gaps in education. Nii Odoi’s inspiring journey demonstrated resilience and the ability to overcome challenges, serving as a beacon of hope for his peers and students alike.

Teachers from both West African Senior High School and Jewels Millennium School took part in the program, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to the sessions. Their active participation not only enriched their classrooms but also fostered a collaborative spirit among educators committed to making a difference.

The event was a testament to the impactful partnership between the U.S. Embassy Ghana and Mobile Web Ghana , which continues to invest in initiatives that empower educators. We extend heartfelt gratitude to the head teachers and schools for their support.

As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to launch the next American English Webinar Series, building on this year’s success to empower even more teachers. Together, we aim to inspire, innovate, and create brighter futures for educators and their students.
