American Corner Agbogba was excited to welcome Counselor for Public Affairs from the U.S. Embassy Ghana, Virginia Elliot and actor Abraham Attah on Monday, 26th July 2021. There were three other officials together, who visited the Corner.
Director of Mobile Web Ghana, Florence Toffa, welcomed the team and introduced them to the Corner. She shared more on the activities and projects of Mobile Web Ghana and the Corner. The programs carried out, are in sync with the Embassy’s modules on STEM, Women Empowerment, Entrepreneurship and English Language. Abraham expressed his delight about the Corner’s work, highlighting that it was a great opportunity for young people like him to benefit from the resources and programs. He promised to visit the Corner anytime he comes to Ghana.
Abraham made a short video about the American Corner, explaining its resources and benefits to the general public and encouraged everyone to make a stop at the Corner, whenever they can. He also interacted with some patrons in the Corner who were excited to see him in person after watching his cast in the popular 2015 thriller movie ‘Beasts of No Nation’ which featured American actor Idris Elba. Abraham is all grown up now than the little fierce boy we watched on our screens a few years ago. He has been featured in other movies since he moved to the United States. Some of these movies are: Spider-Man Homecoming, Spider-Man Far from Home and Tazmanian Devil which was released in 2020.
Abraham is looking forward to appearing in more roles and he is also passionate about furthering his education in the United States.
