Top Apps Award is a tech event which started last year in Ghana. Its main objective is to reward and showcase innovative mobile, web, games and SMS applications to the business community. The event also serves as a networking platform for developers, entrepreneurs, investors and business men. Last week, the organizers of the event achieved another milestone by organizing the 2013 edition of the Top Apps Awards at the Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT.

Over 50 nominations were received and MPower Payments was judged the top app of the year 2013. It’s interesting to see that Ghanainas are developing relevant apps to solve problems in our society and the best app will be given the needed recognition. Next year, we are certain more new applications will be developed to enhance businesses and improve lives. This event will go a long way to provide market and publicity for locally developed apps.
